Chart of accounts
Every account in your books. Trust accounts hold client money and always balance on their own; the company P&L never contains trust money.
The seeded chart is a starting point for Canadian private lenders. Accountant to confirm the accounts and their numbering before go-live.
System accounts System
Used by automatic postings. You can rename and renumber them; you cannot change their type, deactivate or delete them.
Trust accounts Trust
Bank or liability accounts only. Trust bank = trust liabilities at all times.
Accounts with postings
Type, group and trust flag are fixed once an account has postings — add a new account instead.
Deactivate, don't delete
An account with postings can be made inactive when its balance is zero and no active bank account posts to it.

Add an account to your chart. Sub-accounts take their parent's type and trust flag.
