Bin rental
in Caledon
Bolton, Caledon East, Palgrave, Inglewood and the concession roads in between. Flat-rate bins from $349 — and a gravel truck behind them, which in Caledon matters more than anywhere else we serve.
Caledon runs on gravel
Half the driveways in Caledon aren't paved, and the ones that are tend to be several hundred feet long. Estate lots off the concession roads, farm laneways, properties up around Palgrave and Alton — the material requirement out here isn't a few tonnes for a front pad, it's a regular top-up of Granular A or ¾" clear over a driveway you can't see the end of from the road.
That is exactly the wrong job for a bins-only company and exactly the right one for us. Royal Bins is the bin division of a dump trucking outfit — the aggregate side isn't an add-on we bolted on to sell bins, it's the original business. If you're clearing out a barn and you want twenty tonnes of gravel down the lane while we're there, that's one phone call, not two vendors.
What Caledon books
- Driveway gravel with a bin on the same trip. The signature Caledon job. Old material and brush out, fresh Granular A in, one truck, one invoice.
- Barn, shed and outbuilding cleanouts. Decades of accumulation, usually a 20 or a 40 because it's bulky rather than heavy.
- Estate-lot landscaping and regrading. Large volumes of spoil, then topsoil and stone back. See soil & fill bins.
- Custom builds and additions. New construction through Southfields, Mayfield West and the Bolton edges, plus renovations to century properties in the villages.
- Concrete and stone removal. Old silo pads, foundations and retaining walls. See concrete bins.
- Storm cleanup. Downed limbs and brush after a bad night — bulky, light, and a job where a 40 yard bin earns its keep.
Bins available in Caledon
| Bin | Dimensions | Tonnage | Best for | Flat rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 yard | 12' × 8' × 3.5' | 1.5 tons | Heavy material · small clearout | $349 |
| 14 yard | 12' × 7' × 4' | 2 tons | Heavy material · concrete · roofing | $399 |
| 20 yard | 12' × 8' × 5.5' | 3 tons | Barn and outbuilding cleanouts | $449 |
| 40 yard | 22' × 8' × 8' | 5 tons | Brush, storm debris, large light loads | $649 |
A cubic yard of broken concrete weighs about a ton. The 20 and the 40 are volume bins for bulky light material — barn clearouts and brush — not for slab.
Rural access, honestly assessed
Caledon placements fail for different reasons than city ones. The things that stop a truck here are soft ground after rain, a laneway culvert that won't take the axle weight, a gate narrower than it looks, a low bridge, and grades steep enough that a loaded roll-off can't come back up. None of that is a problem if we know about it in advance; all of it is a problem at seven in the morning with a truck already on site.
So when you book a Caledon drop, tell dispatch about the laneway. Length, surface, width at the narrowest point, any culvert or bridge, and how much room there is to turn around at the top. If you're not sure, send photos. We'd rather spend five minutes on the phone than send a truck that has to reverse four hundred feet back down to the road.
We need the length of the bin plus about 10 feet behind it to roll it off, and roughly 22 feet of overhead clearance — mature trees over a laneway are the usual obstruction.
Bin out, gravel in — the Caledon version
Everywhere else, the Driveway Package saves a trip charge. Out here it saves considerably more, because the drive itself is the expensive part. A truck coming to Palgrave for a bin and going back empty is a wasted leg; the same truck returning loaded with Granular A, ¾" clear, screening or topsoil costs you one delivery instead of two.
If you need a serious volume of driveway gravel — more than a bin job would ever justify — that's the parent company's day job. Ask dispatch and we'll quote it off the trucking side. See Litt Trucking Ltd.
