terms

The plain-language version of what you're agreeing to when you book a bin with us.

Last updated: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}  ·  Draft — must be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

These terms apply to every bin rental and material delivery provided by Royal Bins & Disposal, a division of Litt Trucking Ltd. ("we", "us"). By booking a bin you agree to them. If we've signed a separate written agreement with you, that agreement wins where the two conflict.

1. Booking and quotes

A quote is based on the information you give us — bin size, material type and location. If the actual job differs materially from what was described, the price may change and we'll tell you before we proceed. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

2. Delivery and placement

You are responsible for making sure the drop location is accessible, legal and safe on the day of delivery. That means:

  • Clear access for a loaded truck, including overhead clearance from wires and branches.
  • Any municipal permit required to place a bin on a road, boulevard or public property. Permits are your responsibility unless we've agreed in writing to obtain one.
  • Nobody parked in the way. If we arrive and can't place the bin, a dry-run charge applies.

We place bins where you direct us. Driveways, walkways, lawns, septic systems, sprinkler lines and underground services can be damaged by the weight of a loaded bin or truck. We are not responsible for damage to private property caused by placing, filling or removing a bin at your direction. We put protective boards down on residential drops as a matter of course, but that reduces risk rather than eliminating it.

3. Rental period

The quoted rate includes the rental period stated on your quote, measured from the day of delivery. Additional days are billed at the daily rate on your quote. If you need the bin longer, tell us — extending is cheaper than an unplanned overage.

4. Loading, weight and overage

  • Load level with the top rail. We cannot legally transport an overloaded bin, and a driver who arrives to find one may have to leave it until it's corrected.
  • Each bin size includes a tonnage allowance. Weight over that allowance is billed by the ton at the rate on your quote, based on a certified scale ticket that we'll provide.
  • Heavy material — concrete, asphalt, brick, soil, stone — is billed at a different disposal rate. Mixing it into a general waste load moves the entire load to the higher rate.

5. Prohibited materials

The items listed on our Accepted Materials page as prohibited must not be placed in a bin. This includes hazardous waste, liquids, asbestos, tires, batteries, refrigerant-containing appliances and electronics.

If prohibited material is found in a bin, you are responsible for the cost of sorting, re-tipping, special handling, fines and any charge levied on us by the receiving facility. Where required, we will report the material to the relevant authority.

6. Care of the bin

The bin remains our property at all times. While it's on your site you are responsible for it — including theft, fire, vandalism and unauthorised use by others. Please don't move it, modify it, paint it or set anything alight in it. You'll be billed for repair or replacement of a bin damaged beyond normal wear.

7. Cancellation and changes

Cancel or reschedule at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled drop. Inside 24 hours, or if our truck is already dispatched, a dry-run charge applies.

8. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless you hold an approved account with net terms. Overdue balances accrue interest at the rate shown on the invoice. We may decline further service while an account is in arrears.

9. Liability

We carry commercial general liability insurance and maintain WSIB coverage; certificates are available on request. Except where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability arising from any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or project delay.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Questions

Call (905) 555-0147 or email dispatch@royalbins.ca. We'd rather explain a term before you book than argue about it after.
